On Saturday the 22/4/23, three staff from St. Luke’s were invited to attend the thirtieth Anniversary Memorial Service for Stephen Lawrence, who was murdered in an unprovoked racial attack in Eltham S.E. London. Our Justice Committee had led our own tribute to Stephen’s life (guided by the staff pictured) and then totally unplanned, at the service, they met with Baroness Floella Benjamin, whose life our Y4 s had studied as part of our Justice work. Baroness Benjamin recorded a message of hope for our children.
