Summer 1 - Our Awesome Senses

Below are links you can use at home to complement this term's topic.

Using the 5 Senses to Build an Environment that Supports Learning - Attentive Teaching

We will be investigating light, shadow, and electricity.

We will also be creating moving books with sliders and hinge mechanisms.

Do you have any books with moving parts?

To support maths, here are some great web pages to help develop pupils' understanding of numbers up to 100, money, volume, and capacity.

We will also be using our senses to create a map of our surroundings with a key. Can you make a map of our bedroom or garden?

This year, we will continue to use our phonics scheme called Little Wandle.

Below is the dedicated parent's page of the website with short videos on how we teach blending, tricky words, and new phase 5 alternative spellings.
